Field Day and Cheese Tasting at Nubians North (on Kelso Rd in Porquis Junction)

Nubians North is a licensed dairy goat operation in Northern Ontario, home to approximately 800 purebred Nubian goats, including 200 kids. What began with three does over a decade ago has grown into a thriving commercial farm built on care, intention, and a deep respect for animal well-being. Known for producing rich, high-quality milk, Nubians North partners with Fromagerie Kapuskoise to craft award-winning artisan cheeses. Join us for an afternoon tour of the farm, where participants will learn about large-scale dairy goat farming, the unique characteristics of the Nubian breed, and how strong farmer–cheesemaker partnerships can support sustainability and product quality—all while enjoying a guided cheese tasting.
