New Producer Rate for the 2024 CFGA Annual Conference

Ontario Forage Council (OFC) and Conseil Québécois des Plantes Fourragères (CQPF) are pleased to announce a collaboration to bring a producer rate to the 2024 Canadian Forage & Grassland Association (CFGA) Conference being held in Guelph, Ontario this December.

The producer rate for producers in Ontario and Quebec is $100/day for Day 1 (December 4th) and Day 2 (December 5th) of the conference.

To take advantage of this rate, Ontario producers must reach out to OFC at admin@ontarioforagecouncil.com, and Quebec producers must reach out to CQPF at info@cqpf.ca. Producers will receive a special one-time use code for registration.

Producers are required to provide a copy of their current FBRN card to OFC or NIM card to CQPF. There are limited spots available for this special rate, so reach out soon to take advantage.

Registration deadline is NOVEMBER 22, 2024.

The organizations are excited to offer this rate to enable more producers to attend the conference. Day 1 of the conference focuses on grasslands and pastures, with talks about grazing tools, tips, and new technologies, rotational grazing, and key milestones in Canadian beef sustainability. On Day 2 the focus is on tame forages and markets, with presentations on advances in forages breeding, forage quality, a status update on forage export markets, and a field-to-feed panel.

OFC’s Forage Focus is being held in conjunction with the conference, as the popular post-conference tour on December 6th. Hay as a cash crop is this year’s theme and attendees will get to visit Marcrest Manufacturing near Gorrie and Marhaven in Drayton to learn about the market opportunities available to hay producers. Forage Focus is free, but conference attendees have the opportunity to take a bus from the hotel for the tour. Find out more at www.onforagenetwork.ca.
