Visors are a wear item, not a lifetime part of the helmet, and most riders find a spare on hand is worth having, especially before a long trip.

Any impact, including a helmet dropped from a moderate height, can compress the inner liner in ways that are not visible from outside. A helmet is designed to absorb one significant impact by sacrificing that inner material, so a helmet involved in a crash should always be replaced, not inspected and reused.

A helmet is the most visible piece of riding gear, but it works as part of a wider kit rather than on its own. Gloves protect hands in a low speed drop, which is one of the most common types of fall, and Hedon London a good pair balances grip and feel with real abrasion resistance.

This is slower than fully automated manufacturing, and that is the point. A handcrafted shell trades speed for a level of finish and individual attention that a purely machine made helmet does not offer.

To see the certification behind our own range, visit full face helmet.

A made to order helmet starts long before any material is cut. Measurements are taken, the intended use of the helmet is discussed, and a rider works with the maker to settle on a shell, lining and finish that suit them specifically, rather than picking from fixed stock sizes.

Because the finish is textured rather than reflective, the small marks of everyday use are less obvious than on polished chrome, which keeps fittings looking settled for longer. For a bathroom that gets used every day and still wants a refined look, it is a practical and handsome choice. To see brushed steel across the range, see houseofenki.com.

A single-finish scheme still leaves plenty of room for interest through materials, tile and lighting, so consistency in the metalwork does not mean a flat room. It means the fixtures speak with one voice while the surfaces around them carry the texture and colour. To plan a scheme around a single finish across the range, explore Enki bathroom fixtures.
